Week 13 5-0 +32.50 UNITS

Here are today’s selections:

5 Units New England Patriots -6.5 +100

5 Units New England Patriots UNDER 34 -110

Rookie QB Byron Leftwich gets a look at Bill Belichick's defensive schemes. Good luck, rookie! Jacksonville (4-9) has a good defense allowing just 197 passing yards per game, and that's the Patriots' strength. They may be able to stay close because of their decent pass defense, but New England has been super on 'D' all season. Jacksonville is not a cold weather site and the Jags are 0-6 SU & 3-2-1 ATS on the road!!! Jacksonville's offense simply can't score on the road, averaging 14 ppg. The Jaguars are on a 5-0 ATS run and four straight games have gone UNDER the total. The Pats (11-2) carry a 9-game win streak into this game and have already clinched the AFC East! They're doing it with defense (16 ppg), and the last four home games the Pats have allowed (are you sitting down?) 9 total points!!! If the Pats and Ravens meet in the playoffs, the game may be scoreless for 3 days. There won't be a lot of points, but as for a New England letdown, don't count on it. Belichick spoke with the players two weeks ago and asked how many games they'd won after Thanksgiving. Because the Super Bowl champs of two years ago won 8, while this team had won zero. Well, they are 2-0 SU/ATS since that speech and are still looking for home field edges in the postseason.

5 Units Dallas Cowboys -2.5 -115

The Cowboys (8-5 SU, 7-5 ATS) have lost two straight and are averaging 13 points per game over the last five while giving up 23 ppg. It's not surprising QB Quincy Carter is struggling (he's young and not that good anyway), but the tough defense has also been getting shredded, which is harder to figure. The Eagles (10-3) moved two games ahead of the Cowboys (8-5) in the NFC East with a key 36-10 win. Quincy Carter completed 15-of-24 passes for just 93 yards and one touchdown. He failed to complete a pass to his talented receiving trio of Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn and Antonio Bryant. The Redskins (5-8 Su, 6-5 ATS) snapped a three game losing streak with a 20-7 win over the Giants when quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, starting in place of the injured Patrick Ramsey, completed 13-of-19 passes for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Skins are looking for a season split having lost to the Cowboys 21-14 on November 2nd. The Cowboys outgained Washington 400 yards to 213 in that game. There's no quarterback controversy in Dallas until one comes along. Skins have the same problem and the Washington defense can be had. Look for Dallas to get back to basics with a ground attack, and notice the Redskins allow 132 rushing yards per game!!! You can bet Bill Pacells has taken notice of that and they'll pound the ball into the Redskins line.

5 Units Pittsburgh Steelers +3 -105

Two teams waiting 'till next year. The Steelers (5-8 SU, 6-7 ATS) won for just the third time in 10 games and also got a big game from Tommy Maddox and the defense as Pittsburgh defeated the Oakland Raiders 27-7. Tommy Maddox completed 19-of-28 passes for 266 yards while the defense sacked Rick Mirer four times. Mirer completed just 10-of-25 passes for 68 yards as Oakland totaled just 161 yards. The Jets (5-8 SU, 4-7 ATS) continued their losing ways Sunday losing to the Bills 17-6. Chad Pennington completed only 15-of-29 passes for 155 yards and did not throw a touchdown for the first time in 18 career starts. Jets are 3-3 SU, ATS at home where they allow 16.5 ppg (5-1 UNDER the total at home). There'll be no picnic this week either as both teams look to shake the doldrums. These teams last met two years ago with the Steelers winning 18-7 at home. Not much more than pride in the balance Sunday, the home field tips the scales.

15 Units Atlanta Falcons OVER 48 -110

One player doesn't always make that much difference in the success of a football team, but in the case of QB Michael Vick -- wow!!! Vick returned in high style last week, with 179 passing yards and 141 rushing in a 20-14 upset of Carolina. Atlanta is still 3-10 SU & 4-9 ATS and their defense has been awful most of the season. Atlanta coach Dan Reeves was fired this week, and this will be new head coach Wade Phillips' first game. The Falcons surrender 144 rushing yards and 231 passing per game, which means the Colts will score a bundle. Indy (10-3 SU, 8-4 ATS) will tear up this poor Atlanta defense behind QB Peyton Manning and marvelous Marvin Harrison. This team averages 28 points and 272 yards passing per game!!! The Falcons play their home games indoors on carpet (and this game is indoors), and Atlanta's defense gives up 31 ppg at home!!! Look for one of the highest scoring games of the season!!!

5 Units St Louis Rams OVER 51.5 -105

A showdown at the Arch coming up in the NFC West. The Seahawks (R: 1-5 SU, 1-4 ATS) who just haven't gotten the job done away from home base get another chance against the Division leading Rams. The Seahawks won game one of this year's series 24-23 back in September. The Seahawks are winning games at home by an average score of 27-15, but are awful on the road where they are outscored by a 28-24 average. Sunday, in Minnesota they managed just 258 yards in a 34-7 rout by the Vikings, including a season low in points. The Seahawks were fifth in the NFL in scoring offense, averaging 26.9 points - 36.6 ppg in their last three games. The Rams held on for a MNF win over the Browns 26-20 behind the efficient passing of Marc Bulger, timely defense and an oportunistic 2 1/2 minutes at the end of the first half when they scored 17 points. Despite alternating wins and losses in their last eight games, the Seahawks (8-5) remain in control of one of the NFC's two wild card spots. The Rams have averaged 436 yards of offense in their last three games while the Seahawks defense on the road just doesn't cut it. St. Louis is 6-0 SU & 5-1 ATS at home where they average 35.8 points! Seattle is 4-2 OVER the total on the road, while the Rams are 5-1 OVER at home!!!!

7 Units Baltimore Ravens -6.5 -107

The Raiders have been wilting all season (3-10) while the Ravens are peaking at the right time. Baltimore (8-5 SU & 7-4 ATS) is on a role, behind a great defense and a new-found offense behind QB Anthony Wright. Wright and RB Jamel Lewis have combined to lead the team to 44, 41 and 31 points the last three games (3-0 SU & 2-0-1 ATS). On the other hand, remember that all three of those games were at home, and now they cross several time zones on this long road trip. The Ravens are 2-4 SU & 3-3 ATS on the road where they're outscored by a 23-20 average. Can the Raiders (2-10-1 ATS) score that much??? No, as they've scored a total of 15 points the last two games and appear to have packed in the season. The key to this contest will be the running game. Baltimore averages 163 yards rushing pg (No.1 in the NFL) and Oakland can't stop the run (149 yds rushing per game allowed!) While this is a good spot to look at the home dog, if you can't stop the run, RB Jamel Lewis should roll and roll and roll!!!

Good Luck Today My Friends,
